Like you I like the wine. But, if you do further research like me you will find there's a lot of confusing information that there. Pinot Noir and Gamay are two varieties grown in Burgundy region, but they are not really similar. Furthermore, nothing grown in California that is labelled Gamay is at all like Beaujolais, but is rather a ralted clone to Pinot Noir. It gets confusing fast! I'm also stymied by the word Bergamais. It seems to be a widely used synonym for Beaujolais but only used for Home Brewing Kits. heya, I am doing research on Beaujolais. Like you I like the wine.
