I’ve finally added some old pictures I scanned while I was still in Newfoundland. I’ve adjusted all of them, but I just wanted to point out some examples below.
| Before | After | Description |

| Repaired tears and folds. Could have done better, but I’m pleased with the results. | ||
| Adjusted colour and levels, removed mold and burns, corrected for camera motion blur. | ||
| Adjusted colour, levels, and smart sharpened. | ||
| Repaired several folds, cloned over holes. Adjusted color and levels. Sharpened. | ||
| Gradient color adjustment for nonuniform colour deterioration. Sharpened. | ||

To see these and other photos from the past visit my Oldies album by clicking the photo to your left. Lionel did a great job on Sam and Steve’s photos where they’re wearing sweaters and just graduated from Kindergarten because they were printed on textured paper and he removed most of the texture using a Fourier transform. You can see these by going to Sam or Steve’s album within Oldies.

Changes to Food Adventures Category
Posted by Kelley under Website News , Food AdventuresNo Comments
Since we’re rally getting into cooking lately, and since my recipe section has been neglected for a significant period of time, I am making some slight changes to the food adventures category. Instead of just blogging about suppers I’m going to post a series of pictures on how to make what I made and then post a link in the recipe section to that blog entry. So ideally the cooking entries should read like a recipe :)

Now that I don’t have a wedding to plan I can upload all the photos I’ve been meaning to upload! The following albums have been added:
| Grouse Mountain | Terra Nova | Girl’s Night BBQ |
|---|---|---|
| James & Alyssa’s Wedding | I recently came across a bunch of very old pictures from when I borrowed everyone’s photos to scan during high school. Unfortunately at the time I had a parallel port scanner which went dead slow at 300dpi, so to speed things up I scanned everything at 100dpi. At the time it looked great on my 800×600 screen. Now most pics are 600×400 or less and wouldn’t even be able to be printed *sigh* but nice to have in any case. I’ll think about putting them up if there’s any interest. | |

Well, after some frustrating trials I have figured out how to allow users to add comments to photos in the gallery, so feel free :) Also, I meant to say last time that I haven’t gotten around to doing the captions yet, but I’ll work on it as soon as I have other pictures up, heh. There’s a backlog right now :)

Lionel and I received our wedding photos in the mail today. WOW! We got all the full resolution images on a DVD and they are CRAZY. Nate did an awesome job. He had such a great personality, was very accommodating, and took amazing photos. You can see his other work by going to his website, www.nategates.com.
Anyway, I have updated the gallery on my website — if you’d like to see the photos, follow this link. We haven’t decided which ones to make larger copies of, but the one on Signal Hill is pretty cool and a few at Bowring Park would make nice enlargements too!
I really love the photos he took at the reception. Besides the portraits we set up he took random photos during the night and those ones I find are the best. He didn’t get everybody in those kinds of shots, but here are some people he did get!

Changed the sidebar so the archives are now in a drop down box in the style of the theme instead of having each month listed as a link. With time the list would just get too long! I’ve also added a calendar with links to the days which have posts, and I’ve fixed the double bullet that was appearing in the double nested pages listing (in front of 13-week-plan).

This used to be placed on the sidebar, but it’s getting a little long with all my posting, so I’ve moved it here.
When you are in the gallery, you can click the link “Download full size photo for printing” under the picture to see the full 1024×768 photo. If you click the picture itself you advance to the next picture in the gallery.
If you want to download a bunch of large versions of photos it’s much easier to scroll to the bottom of the page beneath the picture info and click “Add photo to cart,” then you can select a few photos from each gallery to download. Now, if you’d like to have the whole album, just click “Add album to cart” on the bottom of the album view. Do this for as many albums or pictures as you want.
When you’ve added the last album/picture, click the drop down box in the upper right of the cart view and say “Download as Zip” and you’ll get a zip file containing the large pictures for all the pictures you selected! Enjoy

Out with the old and in with the new. I’ve gotten rid of the original wordpress smilies and have replaced them with these cuter ones, hehe.

Thanks to Ars Arena you now have access to all the smilies on my sire with a click of a button. If you want to leave a message to one of my posts, just add a comment and you’ll see all your available smilies. Just click to add!
I’ve also made it so you can login from any page (instead of just the main page) and the links to individual posts are now permalinks, so direct linking to posts isn’t as ugly. Now if only I can get links working in my gallery! Guh!
